There is Hope…
Hello, I’m Rory. I am nonjudgemental, down to Earth, kind-hearted, and supportive. I believe in unlocking your innate ability to overcome suffering, heal & evolve.
Let's build a safe space and trusting relationship where you can come unpack whatever you're going through each week. I'll collaborate with you to find treatment that best suits your needs and I will work to keep you feeling supported & engaged. Let's find you relief!
I have over 10 years of experience working with Trauma Survivors, folks struggling with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, substance use and addiction, LGBTQ issues, bullying, domestic violence, child abuse, emotional abuse, sexual trauma, and anger management. I am a Survivor myself and deeply "get" a lot of what my clients are working through. Please feel encouraged to reach out if you’d like my support.
Sincerely,
Rory Valentine Diller, M.A., AMFT#115695

Trauma & PTSD
Your nervous system connects the brain, spinal cord, and sensory organs to the rest of your body. Trauma can be any event your nervous system experiences as life-threatening to yourself or others. Trauma interrupts the nervous system in ways that can change a person’s ability to adapt, think, feel, move, make meaning of Life, and be in relationship with others. Some folks who experience Trauma develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD which may include symptoms like; flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, depression, headaches, body pain, nausea, self-isolating, angry outbursts, self-hatred, insomnia, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. PTSD is very common and goes undiagnosed in many folks.
Somatic Therapies
Somatic Therapies incorporates body-based practices, Neuroscience, and Psychobiology into psychotherapy. Trauma impacts the Nervous System and brain functioning which can leave traumatic experiences and trauma memories unprocessed in the unconscious mind and body. Treatment requires an understanding of trauma science, and focused attention to the mind-body connection.
Art Therapy or Expressive Arts Therapies (EXA)
There is a vast, inner world of symbolic imagery that lies beneath our conscious mind. It’s the channel of our psyche where dreams come from. This unconscious channel helps us to organize our complex experiences, perceptions, and behaviors. When we connect with this through imagination and creativity, we can experience fresh, and meaningful opportunities to explore, express, understand and rewire ourselves.
Equine Assisted Therapy
EAT incorporates the mighty, empathic, and spiritual presence of horses into psychotherapy. Horses outwardly mirror what we feel inside in a way that is nonjudgmental, sensitive, and pure. They bond with us nonverbally in a special relationship that leaves many feeling profoundly seen and understood.
Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)
I believe in the profound healing power of the moving Body! Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) explores the link between embodiment, consciousness, and healing; a particularly beneficial treatment modality for Trauma Survivors whose bodies have faced betrayal and crave a return to safety, regulation, and self-love. Dance it out!
